Other tips
- enable ffm (focus follows mouse) in X11.app
- .Xresources if you prefer xterm
- Under System Preferences:Universal Access, turn on Zoom on the Seeing tab, and "Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs" on the Hearing tab. (This makes it much more likely that I'll notice when someone /msgs me in irssi, since it beeps when I get /msg'd.)
